Street View - Sukhumvit, Bangkok, Thailand

This camera watches traffic and people on foot around Soi 11, a busy side street off Sukhumvit Road (ถนนสุขุมวิท) in central Bangkok, lined with hotels, restaurants and bars and close to Nana Skytrain station.

Sukhumvit's side streets, called sois, are numbered from west to east, with odd numbers branching off one side of the road and even numbers off the other. The area around Nana and Soi 11 is one of the city's best-known nightlife districts.

Sukhumvit Road is also Highway 3, and it doesn't stop at the city limits. It runs on for hundreds of miles along the Gulf of Thailand coast to Ban Hat Lek in Trat Province, on the border with Cambodia.

Did You Know? The road is named after Phra Bisal Sukhumvit, the fifth head of Thailand's Department of Highways.
