Seoul Station Plaza - Seoul, South Korea

Seoul Station Plaza (서울역 광장), in the heart of Seoul, is busy from early morning until late at night with commuters and travelers, and right beside the modern terminal stands the grand old station with its domed roof.


The old building opened in 1925, closed to trains in 2004 and is now an arts and culture space, while the new station next door is one of the country's main rail hubs.


KTX high-speed trains leave from here for Busan and other cities across Korea, and so do the trains to Incheon International Airport, which is why so many people crossing the plaza are pulling suitcases on their way to catch a flight.


Did You Know? The old building is now called Culture Station Seoul 284. The number comes from its listing as Historic Site No. 284.
