Garden Bird Feeder - Pretoria, South Africa

In a garden in Pretoria (Tshwane), South Africa, the city known as the Jacaranda City for the purple trees that bloom across it every October, this feeder draws in bright green lovebirds, busy weavers and dozens of other species to the fruit stuck on its branches.

Through the day it's a steady stream of seed-eaters, sunbirds and the odd hornbill, with regulars like the red, yellow and black crested barbet, speckled mousebirds and several kinds of doves.

After dark the night shift takes over. Bushbabies, small primates with huge eyes that can leap more than 6 feet (2 m) in one jump, come in for the leftovers, along with spotted genets and fruit bats.
