Surf Cams - Hawaii, California, Bali & More
This live stream from Surfline rotates continuously through surf cameras positioned at breaks across Hawaii, California, Bali, Australia, and beyond, switching automatically to locations where it is daylight and conditions are rated Fair or better. Surfline operates one of the largest surf camera networks on the planet, with over 1,000 live cameras installed at breaks across more than 30 countries. The stream runs 24/7, meaning as the sun moves west the feed shifts with it, cycling through the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic Oceans across a full 24-hour period.
Surfline was founded in 1985 in Huntington Beach, California, originally as a telephone hotline providing recorded surf reports for Southern California beaches. The company's forecasting model draws on buoy data, wind readings, and proprietary swell modelling to rate each break on a scale from Flat to Epic, and only breaks scoring Fair or above appear in this live rotation. Cameras are mounted at fixed positions above the break, typically on cliffs, buildings, or purpose-built poles, giving a consistent overhead angle that allows surfers to read wave shape and timing before paddling out.
The footage in this stream covers some of the most documented surf breaks in the world, including Pipe on Oahu's North Shore, Superbank on Australia's Gold Coast, and Uluwatu on the Bukit Peninsula in Bali. Pipeline alone has been the site of more professional surfing contests than any other wave, hosting the Billabong Pipe Masters annually since 1971. Swell sizes across the network range from ankle-high beach breaks to open-ocean big wave locations where faces can exceed 15 metres.
Did You Know? Surfline began in 1985 as a 25-cent-per-call telephone hotline before becoming the world's largest surf forecasting network, now covering over 1,000 camera locations across more than 30 countries.
