Twin Pan Wildlife Cam - Selinda Reserve, Botswana

Elephants, buffalo, zebras and wildebeest gather at Twin Pan, a seasonal waterhole in the Selinda Reserve of northern Botswana, and lions, hyenas and leopards come to drink here too, especially as the surrounding bush dries out in winter.

The reserve covers about 320,000 acres (129,500 ha) of wild country between the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. In the dry season, when most of the smaller pools have gone, elephants crowd around the remaining water in large numbers.

Through the reserve runs the Selinda Spillway, a channel that links the Okavango Delta with the Linyanti and Kwando wetlands. It's often dry and only flows in some years, when the floods are high.

Did You Know? The Selinda Reserve is known as a stronghold for African wild dogs, one of the most endangered large carnivores in Africa.
