Duval Street - Key West, Florida, USA

Duval Street is the busy main street of Key West, Florida, lined with neon signs, open-air bars, shops and restaurants that stay busy late into the night, with the colorful old front of the Strand Theater right across from this camera.

The best-known bar on the street is Sloppy Joe's, a name tied to Ernest Hemingway, who lived in Key West in the 1930s. Every evening the crowds build, and during festivals and holidays the sidewalks are packed from one end to the other.

In October the whole street is taken over by the Fantasy Fest party. Through all of it, the town's famous wild chickens wander about as if they own the place, and Duval Street is no exception.
