Kambaku Wildlife Reserve - Otjiwarongo, Namibia
This live waterhole camera looks out across the bush veld and grassland of Kambaku Wildlife Reserve, a private family run reserve covering 80 square kilometres in the heart of Namibia near Otjiwarongo.
The reserve is home to giraffe, zebra, warthog, a wide variety of antelope, honey badger, leopard, cheetah, jackal, and brown hyena, alongside rich birdlife including ostrich and birds of prey. The sunsets visible on this feed across the open Namibian savanna are worth tuning in for alone.
Otjiwarongo sits in central Namibia and is the gateway to several of the country's most significant wildlife areas, including Waterberg Plateau National Park and the cheetah conservation heartland where more wild cheetah live than almost anywhere else on earth.
Did You Know? Namibia has the largest free roaming cheetah population in the world, with an estimated 3,000 animals, roughly a third of the entire global wild cheetah population, living across its farmlands and reserves including areas around Otjiwarongo where Kambaku is located.
