Mount Fuji Coastal View - Satta Pass, Japan
This live webcam captures one of the most famous scenic viewpoints of Mount Fuji from Satta Pass in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The location overlooks Suruga Bay and offers a dramatic view of Japan’s highest volcano rising behind the coastline and surrounding mountain ridges.
The perspective from Satta Pass closely resembles the famous landscape depicted in the ukiyo-e woodblock prints of artist Utagawa Hiroshige in his historic series The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō. Today, the same viewpoint remains one of the most photographed locations for viewing Mount Fuji alongside the Pacific coastline.
The camera shows the sweeping landscape of Suruga Bay, coastal highways, forested hillsides, and Mount Fuji’s snow-covered summit in the distance. Changing light conditions throughout the day-from sunrise colors to clear blue skies-make this one of the most scenic live views of the iconic Japanese volcano.
Narrowest point on the old Tōkaidō route: Satta Pass was historically one of the most difficult sections of the Edo-period Tōkaidō road, squeezed between steep mountains and the coastline where travelers once had to walk along a narrow cliffside path above Suruga Bay.
