5 Most Watched Live Webcam Interests on EarthLive.TV
- May 2026 -

One of our favourite things about EarthLive.TV is the browse by interest feature.
Instead of searching for a specific country or camera, you just pick a vibe. Every month we look at which interest categories pulled the most traffic.
May 2026 is our first published breakdown - and we're still early, growing fast, and adding cameras all the time - so think of this as the opening chapter of what will become a pretty interesting data series.
Here's what people were browsing in May. Enjoy!

Airports - 630 views

Airports dominated the month of May by a mile - 630 views, nearly four times the next category.
We'll be honest with you: airports is the first option that appears when you browse by interest, so the alphabet almost certainly helped here.
That said, the engagement numbers back it up. People aren't just clicking and leaving - they're actually watching.
And it makes sense when you think about it: airports compress human emotion into one place. Departures, arrivals, reunions, escapes.
Every runway camera feels like a thousand tiny stories happening at once.
We have airport cameras from London Heathrow, LAX, Las Vegas and tons more. The collection keeps growing.

Volcanoes - 184 views

Now this one is genuinely earned. Volcanoes had no alphabet advantage - it sits near the bottom of the interest list - and it still pulled 184 views with some of the best engagement times on the site.
People are watching active volcanoes in real time - craters, lava flows, steam venting from calderas. The lot.
Mayon Volcano in the Philippines. Kilauea in Hawaii. When something is literally about to erupt, it turns out people want a front row seat.
It also ties neatly into why Iran and Israel topped our May 2026 most watched countries list - people are drawn to live cameras when the stakes feel real. A volcano is about as real as it gets.

Animals - 112 views

No surprise here. Put a live animal on a screen and people will watch it. Full stop.
Our Vancouver Aquarium sea otter cams are consistently among the most watched streams on the entire site.
The White Stork Nest in Germany had one of the highest dwell times in May.
The Moody Gardens Penguin Cam in Texas made our top 10 most watched cameras this month.
Animals on live cameras are basically the internet in its purest form. We'll keep adding more.

Busy Places - 87 views

Browse busy places live cameras
Markets, squares, intersections, boardwalks - cameras pointed at places where life is happening.
Busy Places are one of those categories that are hard to describe, but immediately makes sense when you start clicking through.
There's something quietly addictive about watching a busy street in a city you've never been to. People going about their day. Traffic. Street vendors. The rhythm of somewhere completely different from wherever you're sitting right now.
The Sam Sharpe Square camera in Montego Bay, Jamaica - one of our top 10 most watched cameras this month - is a perfect example of what this category does best.

Beaches - 66 views

Rounding out the top five is the category that probably needs the least explanation. Beaches.
Whether it's a grey Tuesday in an office somewhere or a perfectly good day that could be slightly improved by watching waves break on a beach in the Caribbean - beach cameras are exactly what they sound like.
Calm, warm, and unreasonably effective at making you feel better about everything.
We have beach cameras from across the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Southeast Asia and beyond.
If you need a two-minute holiday, this is where you go.

We have 36 interest categories in total - from volcanoes and wildlife to ski and snow, trains and remote locations.
As the site grows and more cameras come online, these rankings are going to shift in ways we genuinely can't predict.
We'll revisit the rankings on June 30th. In the meantime, have a browse - or just let us pick something for you.
