France 24 Arabic Live - Paris, France
France 24 Arabic is the Arabic language service of France's international public news broadcaster, transmitting live 24 hours a day from its studios in Issy-les-Moulineaux, just outside central Paris. Launched in 2007, France 24 was created by the French government as a direct response to the dominance of Anglo-American and Arab international news channels, with an explicit mission to present world news from a French perspective to global audiences.
The Arabic service is one of three language streams operated by France 24 alongside English and French, and reaches tens of millions of viewers across North Africa, the Middle East, and the wider Arabic speaking world. It has built a particularly strong following in the Maghreb region, where French cultural and linguistic influence remains significant alongside Arabic.
France 24 is funded by the French state through France Médias Monde, the same public body that oversees RFI and Monte Carlo Doualiya, giving it one of the most extensive publicly funded international broadcasting networks in the world.
Did You Know? France 24 broadcasts simultaneously in three languages around the clock, English, French, and Arabic, making it one of only a handful of international news channels in the world to maintain full 24-hour rolling news operations in more than two languages at the same time.
