Port Miami Cruise Terminal - Florida, USA
From high above the port entrance channel, this camera captures cruise ships moving in and out of Port Miami with South Beach's towers visible across the water to the left and the cargo terminal cranes stretching along the right. The MSC World America is a regular on this feed, and on-screen text displays live arrival and departure schedules so you always know what's coming through next.
Port Miami handles more cruise passengers than any other port in the world, with over 7 million passengers passing through in a typical year. The deep water channel visible here connects Biscayne Bay to the Atlantic Ocean and is wide enough to accommodate the largest cruise ships currently in service, including Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas which sails from here every Saturday.
The feed switches between multiple camera angles covering different parts of the port, picking up cargo operations, superyachts moored near Palm Island, and the constant small boat traffic across the bay. Early morning and Saturday departures tend to produce the most activity.
Did You Know? The island the port sits on, Dodge Island, didn't exist until the 1960s. It was created entirely from dredge spoil dug out of Biscayne Bay to deepen the shipping channel, making Port Miami one of the few major international ports built on an island that was deliberately constructed for that exact purpose.
