Dragon Bridge - Da Nang, Vietnam
This live camera looks across the Han River towards Dragon Bridge, the most recognisable landmark in Da Nang and one of the most striking bridges in Southeast Asia. The bridge stretches 666 metres across the Han River and is built in the shape of a dragon, the sacred symbol of Vietnamese culture, with a golden dragon head on the western bank that breathes fire and water every weekend night.
Da Nang is Vietnam's third largest city and one of its fastest growing, sitting midway between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on the central coast. The city has transformed dramatically over the past two decades from a quiet port town into a major tourist and business hub, with Dragon Bridge completed in 2013 becoming its defining symbol.
Did You Know? Dragon Bridge holds the record as the longest dragon shaped bridge in the world. Every Saturday and Sunday night at 9pm the dragon head at the western end breathes real fire and sprays water for crowds gathered on the riverbank below, a spectacle that draws thousands of visitors weekly.
