Watch Earth in Real Time

Watch live webcams from around the world, one for every time zone, streaming right now. No filters, no edits, just the world as it actually is.

There are 25 standard time zones on Earth. We went looking for a live webcam in each one.

We found 23. The two we couldn't crack were UTC-1 (almost entirely open ocean) and UTC+11 (remote Pacific islands with very limited infrastructure). If you know of a live cam from either, let us know.

Everything below is streaming live. Start anywhere. The world doesn't care what time it is where you are.

The Americas

UTC-11 - Midway Atoll, USAA remote wildlife refuge in the middle of the Pacific, home to one of the largest albatross colonies on earth. The timestamp on the cam reads a full day behind most of the world. Quiet, strange, and oddly compelling.

UTC-10 - Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii, USAActive lava fields streamed live from the crater rim. One of the few places on earth where you can watch the planet actively building itself in real time.

UTC-9 - Fairbanks Northern Lights, Alaska, USAHit and miss depending on solar activity and cloud cover, but when it hits, there's nothing else like it. A live aurora feed from one of the best viewing spots on the planet.

UTC-8 - Vancouver Aquarium Sea Otters, British Columbia, Canada: Two sea otters going about their day in the Vancouver Aquarium. Considerably more relaxing than most things on the internet.

UTC-7 - Yellowstone River, Gardiner, Montana, USA: The river that runs out of Yellowstone National Park, framed by mountains. Changes completely depending on the season, the weather, and the time of day.

UTC-6 - Popocatepetl Volcano, Puebla, Mexico: One of North America's most active volcanoes, streaming live from the outskirts of Puebla. On a clear day the view is extraordinary. On an active day it's something else entirely.

UTC-5 - Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada: 3,160 tonnes of water per second going over the edge, live. One of those things that photographs can't really do justice to. The live cam gets close.

UTC-4 - Queen Emma Bridge, Willemstad, CuracaoA floating pontoon bridge over a Caribbean harbour, flanked by pastel colonial buildings. One of the most distinctive and colourful harbours in the world, streaming live from the Dutch Caribbean.

UTC-3 - Avenida Atlantica Beach, Balneario Camboriu, Brazil: One of Brazil's most popular beach strips, busy, beautiful, and very much alive. Night time on this cam is particularly good.

Europe & Africa

UTC+0 - Abbey Road Zebra Crossing, London, UK: Yes, that one. It streams constantly, and yes, people really do recreate the Beatles photo all day long. Surprisingly watchable.

UTC+1 - Eiffel Tower & Paris Skyline, France: The most visited monument in the world, live. Best at dusk when the city lights up and the tower starts its hourly sparkle.

UTC+2 - Table Mountain, Cape Town, South Africa: The flat-topped mountain that watches over one of the world's most beautiful cities. When the cloud rolls in over the top it looks like something from another planet.

Mid-East & Africa

UTC+3 - Salt Lick Safari, Masai Mara, Kenya: Live wildlife cam from one of the most famous safari regions on earth. Elephants, buffalo, big cats, whatever happens to be passing through at that moment.

UTC+4 - Bandar Jissah, Muscat, Oman: A beautiful coastal bay on the Gulf of Oman, mountains dropping straight into warm blue water. One of the more underrated views on the site.

UTC+5 - Underwater Fish Cam, Sangeli, Maldives: A live feed from beneath the surface of the Indian Ocean. Tropical fish drifting past coral in crystal clear water. The most peaceful cam on this entire list.

UTC+5:30 - Baba's Meditation Room, Mount Abu, Rajasthan, India: A live stream from inside a meditation room in the Rajasthani mountains. Unusual, genuinely calming, and not something you'd expect to find on a webcam directory.

UTC+6 - Trans-Ili Alatau Mountains, Almaty, Kazakhstan: The dramatic mountain range that forms the backdrop to Central Asia's largest city. Snow-capped peaks above a sprawling modern skyline.

UTC+7 - Crystal Bay Beach, Koh Samui, Thailand: White sand, palm trees, turquoise water. The postcard version of Thailand, live and unfiltered. Best watched on a grey afternoon wherever you happen to be.

UTC+8 - Giant Panda Habitat, Chengdu, Sichuan, China: Live footage from the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Pandas eating bamboo, sleeping, and generally being pandas. Difficult to watch for less than ten minutes.

UTC+9 - Mount Fuji, Shizuoka View, Japan: Japan's most iconic landmark, streaming live. Changes completely with the seasons and the weather. On a clear winter morning with snow on the peak it's as good as any view on earth.

Pacific & Oceania

UTC+9:30 - Port Lincoln Osprey Nest, South Australia: A live nest cam from the Spencer Gulf coast. Ospreys raising chicks in real time, with the sea in the background. One of the more quietly extraordinary cams on the site.

UTC+10 - Sydney Harbour, NSW, Australia: The Opera House and Harbour Bridge in one shot, live. One of the most recognisable views in the world, and it looks different every single time depending on the light and the weather.

UTC+12 - Wellington International Airport, New Zealand: Famous among aviation enthusiasts for its crosswind landings, where planes approach at angles that look frankly alarming. The last time zone before the date changes. A fitting end to the journey.

The Bonus Answer

One live webcam technically covers every time zone on Earth simultaneously.

The International Space Station orbits at 17,500mph, completing a full lap of the planet every 90 minutes and passing through every time zone roughly 16 times a day.
