This camera watches the runway at Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, in Dorval about 9 miles (15 km) west of downtown Montréal, as Air Canada jets and international flights from across the world touch down and take off.

The airport opened on September 1, 1941, as Dorval Airport, and it took its current name on January 1, 2004, honoring former prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau. Its longest runway is 11,000 feet (3,353 m).

It's the busiest airport in Quebec and the third-busiest in Canada, handling about 22.4 million passengers in 2024. It's also one of Air Canada's three hubs, and the airline's headquarters sits beside the airfield.

Did You Know? For more than 60 years, from 1941 until 2004, Montréal's main airport was simply called Dorval Airport, after the city where it sits.
