Iris the Great Horned Owl - Houston, Minnesota, USA
Camera by↗
A thick branch runs diagonally across Iris’s enclosure. When she settles on it facing the camera, you can pick out the fine dark bars across her chest and the white patch under her chin.
This International Owl Center stream follows one owl, so the small movements are often the best part. Watch Iris go from sitting almost motionless to turning her head toward something outside the frame.
Did You Know? The tufts that give great horned owls their name are feathers. Their actual ear openings are hidden beneath feathers on the sides of the head.
