Dragon Bridge West Intersection - Da Nang, Vietnam

From high above Nguyễn Văn Linh Street, this camera looks down on the busy junction at the western end of the Dragon Bridge (Cầu Rồng) in Da Nang, where cars, buses and swarms of motorbikes pour on and off the bridge.

The bridge crosses the Han River in the middle of the city. It opened to traffic on March 29, 2013, and stretches 2,185 feet (666 m), with its steel arches shaped like a giant dragon rising and falling along its length.

It's often described as the world's largest dragon-shaped steel bridge, and it has become the symbol of modern Da Nang, with the dragon's head facing out toward the sea at the eastern end.

Did You Know? Every Saturday and Sunday night at 9 p.m., the dragon's head breathes real fire and then sprays water over the crowds below.
