Sky News Arabia Live - Abu Dhabi, UAE
Sky News Arabia is a 24-hour Arabic language news channel broadcasting continuously from its brand new headquarters on Yas Island, United Arab Emirates. Launched on 6 May 2012, it is a joint venture between the UK's Sky Group and UAE based International Media Investments, controlled by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE and owner of Manchester City Football Club.
The channel broadcasts in full HD to over 50 million households across the Middle East and North Africa, with a network of 30 bureaux spanning the MENA region, Asia, London, and Washington DC. It also draws on Sky News UK's wider international newsgathering network, giving it one of the broadest correspondent networks of any Arabic language broadcaster.
In early 2025 the channel relocated to a purpose built new headquarters on Yas Island, the same entertainment and business hub that houses Ferrari World and the Abu Dhabi Formula One circuit, fitted with the latest AI powered broadcast technology and production facilities.
Did You Know? Sky News Arabia holds the unusual distinction of being one of the only major Arabic news channels jointly owned by a Western media group, giving it a dual editorial identity that bridges British broadcast standards with Arabic language journalism aimed squarely at the MENA region.
