Pine Mountain Observatory - Oregon, USA
Camera by↗
Two telescope domes sit in a clearing backed by pines at Pine Mountain Observatory, southeast of Bend. The larger silver dome stands beside a row of wooden benches, while low shrubs cover the slope in front of the camera.
The live view looks across the observatory grounds. It’s a good spot to watch clouds move over the treetops and see the last daylight fade behind the domes.
Did You Know? A telescope dome can rotate so its opening lines up with the part of the sky the telescope is pointing at.
